Her eyes gleamed at the possibilities of growing older, not once wanting to slow down.
All she wanted was a life that brought her happiness, individuality, and independence.
People would gaze at her immaculate humanity and wonder how she got so lucky…
Instead, her youth passed her by, and she learned that life was not a fairytale.
There would be no prince charming to save her from harm.
She was doomed to a life of inadequacy and self-loathing.
Hatred oozed from her peers that eventually leaked into her brain.
The toxic environment consumed her,
Controlled
Her,
Until she became the world’s biggest marionette.
She wanted others to envy her life, yet it was she who envied theirs.
Other people received the love that she desired.
Something always seemed to go wrong in her pitiful existence.
Her mother claiming illness, her people tossed aside when all they wanted was justice.
Heartbreak and ignorance clouded her vision and made her believe SHE was the problem.
Soon, disgust bubbled within her, compelling her to do unspeakable things to her broken body.
Yet when life revealed its most authentic form, vibrancy colored her blackened world.
From the time she rode the tallest coaster at Six Flags,
To the move from Yankee territory to the southern countryside,
From high school graduation to college graduation,
And to the soul who loved her when no one else would.
All she wanted in life was independence, individuality, and happiness.
While others may not like her, or even understand her,
She realized that her truest semblance was the only form she needed to embody.
If she were with the right people, she would always remain happy.
If she exuded strength, independence followed suit.
And nothing could stop her from enjoying every moment.
