Welcome! My name is Taylor Burton, and this site was created because I wanted to showcase my writing to the public.
I chose UnaPOETgetically Me for the title of the website because I want my audience to know that everything I write represents a piece of me in some way. Hence the name UnaPOETgetically me! I know it’s sort of cheesy, but hey, it suits.
Growing up, I never thought until I entered sixth grade that I would be interested in writing. I’ve always loved reading, I was hooked once I found a book I liked! I decided to try my hand at writing from then on. I did well in all of my English and Literature classes and wanted to become a novelist.
I developed an interest in writing for television after I graduated from high school. I shifted my ambitions from an aspiring novelist to an aspiring television screenwriter from then on. I studied writing at college, and since screenwriters are not financially reliable, I studied psychology as I had a passion for mental health and supporting students in some way, shape, or form.
I’m currently working on poetry, spoken word, fiction prose, short stories, and screenwriting pieces that will soon make their appearances to the world.
